El Toro Restaurant has been serving food to Banff and the Bow Valley for over 40 years. In 2009, Colin Schatz and Isabelle Rouleau became the new owners, and while they revamped the menu, they kept an old favourite — the Châteaubriand signature dish.

Since purchasing the restaurant Colin & Isabelle, aided by their amazing staff, have put their time and passion into ensuring that El Toro remains a popular Banff restaurant by combining long-standing favourites with adventurous new dishes.

Influenced by the flavours of Mexico and Spain, the homemade dishes also include AAA certified Canadian beef and other Canadian favourites; prepared by chefs with a passion for good food made from the freshest ingredients.

Running a restaurant for Colin & Isabelle isn't only about turning a profit; it's about finding out how they can give back to the world, and this is why they are proud to be part of the global movement to help improve the living conditions of children in Ethiopia by supporting the Grace Centre Foundation.

Colin & Isabelle’s mission is to provide great food and service to locals and visitors at an affordable price, and they look forward to welcoming you to the El Toro dining experience in breathtaking Banff National Park.
